Adults & Couples
Qualifications:
Masters in Existential Psychotherapy and Counselling
Calm, compassionate, and insightful; supporting adults and couples.

Sophie is an experienced psychotherapist who works with individual adults and couples, offering a safe, welcoming space to explore challenges in relationships, emotions, and personal growth. She specialises in attachment and relational issues, supporting clients to understand and change unhelpful patterns, manage difficult emotions, and navigate complex life situations. Sophie is compassionate, non-judgemental, and helps clients feel seen, heard, and supported in their sessions.

Sophie works from an existential perspective, embracing a pragmatic approach to therapy. She encourages clients to accept life’s boundaries while recognising their potential to grow, change, and make meaningful choices. She helps clients explore how past experiences influence current reactions, so they can respond more positively to life’s challenges and relationships in the future.

Sophie has extensive experience supporting clients impacted by trauma, substance misuse, sexual, emotional or domestic violence, and complex legal or criminal justice contexts. She also works with those experiencing anxiety, depression, low mood, low self-esteem, chronic or complex health conditions, and the stress of balancing multiple pressures. Her approach combines understanding with practical guidance, helping clients navigate their lives more effectively.

Throughout her work, Sophie prioritises the therapeutic relationship as a space of connection, safety, and repair. She believes that this relationship reflects the broader world and can help clients learn new ways of relating to themselves and others. Clients describe Sophie as warm, insightful, and deeply supportive, helping them gain clarity, confidence, and a sense of direction. Sessions are available in person and online.
